Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the BiteGrid platform — point of sale, online ordering, kitchen display, delivery management and reporting — and this website. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.

The service

BiteGrid provides restaurant operations software as a subscription service, including software for tills, kitchen displays, online ordering sites, delivery management and an administration panel. Features may be added, improved or retired over time; material removals affecting paying customers will be communicated in advance.

Accounts and responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, for keeping credentials and device PINs confidential, and for the actions of staff accounts you create. Role-based permissions exist to limit access — assigning roles appropriately is your responsibility. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

  • Use the platform only for lawful restaurant operations.
  • Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload the service, or access another customer's data.
  • Do not resell or sublicense the service without written agreement.
  • Comply with applicable laws on payments, taxation, consumer protection and data protection in your jurisdiction.

Fees

Pricing is per branch and depends on the parts of the platform in use. Fees are quoted at enquiry, agreed before onboarding, and payable as invoiced. Unpaid accounts may be suspended after reasonable notice.

Your data

Your restaurant's data — menus, orders, customers, reports — belongs to you. We process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can request an export of your data at any time, including at termination.

Availability

We aim for high availability and design the till to keep working offline during connectivity loss, but no online service can guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance will be scheduled to minimise disruption where possible.

Third-party services and hardware

The platform works with your own hardware (printers, drawers, tablets) and may integrate with third-party services such as payment providers. Those are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for third-party hardware or service failures.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BiteGrid is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits or lost data caused by factors outside our control), and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may stop using the service at the end of any agreed billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination you may request an export of your data within a reasonable window before it is deleted.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page will be updated, and material changes will be communicated to platform customers before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the BiteGrid operating company is registered, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
